a difficult forecast this morning... an upper-level disturbance will be dropping southeast across the area later today and friday, but it remains to be seen how much moisture will be available to stir up some showers and storms. it looks like the very warm temperatures will continue today, but then let up as we move into the weekend. right now, it looks like our best chance of thunderstorms will be from late this afternoon through friday, with high temps friday considerably cooler than they've been the last several days. but... heatwave #2 appears to be waiting in the wings for next week...

THURSDAY: sunny in the morning, but becoming partly cloudy during the afternoon. very warm and more humid with a chance of a thunderstorm by late afternoon.

THURSDAY NIGHT: partly cloudy with an increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms.

FRIDAY: partly to mostly cloudy, muggy, but not as warm. a couple of showers and storms are possible.

SATURDAY: partly cloudy and comfortably warm. an isolated thundershower possible.

SUNDAY: mostly sunny and a bit warmer.

MONDAY: heatwave creeps back in?? mostly sunny skies.
