fri pm. 06.04.10

one round of thundershowers this morning only delivered a few minutes of rain... then the sun came out again and made for a warmer-than-expected afternoon. the computer models have been flipping and flopping all over the place with the forecast scenario over the next few days. there remains a deep trough of low pressure just to our northwest, which is sinking southeast and weakening. the remnants of a tropical cyclone in the arabian sea are also being drawn into the equation. all that to say... rain and thunderstorm chances will stay with us all the way through next 5 days. in between storms, however, we could see enough sunshine to keep temperatures on the comfortable side (and below normal for june). late monday into tuesday has to be watched for the potential for HEAVY rain... as the tropical cyclone mess moves in. quite a mixed bag, eh??
