tue pm. 06.08.10

i'm not sure what the record books say (i don't think there are any), but i am thinking this must have been one of the coolest june days in history. the high temp barely made it above 16c/62f late this afternoon, after clouds and rain for most of the day. the rainfall total since last night was around 0.90" (23mm), which was very welcome indeed. now... fasten your seatbelts for a steady warming trend during the remainder of the week. in fact, it will be a good 20+ degrees warmer (F) by friday and saturday. there are a few weak upper-level disturbances which will be moving through the area during the next few days... so, as the heat builds, random thunderstorms are not out of the question on any given afternoon. keep that in mind as you're out and about...

TUESDAY NIGHT: partly cloudy and cool. still some thundershowers rumbling around.
low: 15C (59F)

WEDNESDAY: partly to mostly sunny and not as cool. slight chance of a thundershower.
high: 25C (77F)

THURSDAY: sunny early, then partly cloudy in the afternoon with a chance of a thunderstorm. warmer.
high: 27C (80F)

FRIDAY: mostly sunny and warm. a random late-day thunderstorm is possible.
high: 28C (83F)

SATURDAY: warm with plenty of sunshine. just a slight chance of a PM thunderstorm.
high: 29C (85F)

SUNDAY: more of the same... sun and a few clouds along with warm temps. can't rule out a PM thunderstorm.
high: 30C (86F)
