friday morning>

mostly clear skies this morning... and a comfortable 18C/64F. no additional rain fell overnight, and the satellite pics are showing nothing imminently threatening... although there is a large cluster of rain and thunderstorms over uttar anchal, showing little movement.

as i mentioned last evening, we're in for several days of of typical mid-monsoon weather. there is no major, organized storm system expected to affect the area, but with plenty of tropical moisture around, a bit of sunshine to heat things up, and some cooler air aloft, we'll have daily rounds of showers and thundershowers... some of which could dump very heavy rainfall in a short period of time. i received more than an inch (2.5cm) in about 30 minutes yesterday afternoon... and that kind of local/isolated deluge could occur anywhere, mainly during the afternoon and evening hours. despite plenty of clouds and fog around... there will also be the momentary periods of sunshine in between. temperatures will remain comfortable, with highs topping 70F (21C) right into early next week...

FRIDAY: sunshine early this morning will yield to clouds and fog. good chance of a few showers and thundershowers, mainly during the afternoon.

MONDAY: a little sunshine in the midst of clouds and fog. good chance of some showers and thundershowers.

TUESDAY: no big changes... scattered showers and thundershowers in the area. mostly cloudy and foggy.
