wednesday morning>

a thick layer of clouds blankets the area early this morning... but there is a total lack of fog, which is making the shimla hills visible from the top of mcleod ganj. that's a rare sight this time of year. we picked up another 0.40" (1cm) of rain overnight, for a total of 3.6" (9cm) since late monday night. our morning temperature is 17c/62f.

another batch of rain is heading our way from the northeast, according to the satellite pics. this one could be the last of the big rain-makers during the next couple of days, as computer models are now showing a significant weakening of the strong dynamics necessary to keep the big rains going. that doesn't mean the wet weather will disappear altogether... it just means that rainfall will be generally lighter, and of a more scattered nature as we move into the end of the week. it's likely that we'll still pick up 3 or more inches (7cm+) during the next several days, but there will be some nice stretches of dry weather in between, and perhaps even a few glimpses of sunshine.
