friday morning (17sep)>

skies are mostly clear early this morning, with a temperature of 15C/59F.  we've now had about 36 hours without rainfall.

we are living dangerously, with regard to the leading edge of the monsoon/tropical moisture... it is lingering just to the south and southeast of dharamsala, and could surge back at any time.  in fact, i can see the thick wall of clouds and fog to the east, and satellite photos show it covering most of eastern himachal pradesh, and just about all of uttar anchal.  so... that means our dry weather and periods of sunshine are in jeopardy. we'll most likely get another day of decent weather, with a random PM shower possible... but starting tomorrow, rain chances will be gradually on the increase once again, and rising humidity levels will lead to less sunshine and more fog, as we move through the weekend into the new week.  it's not a good idea to retire the umbrella just yet...

FRIDAY: some sunshine early this morning... then increasing clouds and fog, with a chance of a random shower or two during the PM.

FRIDAY NIGHT: an evening shower or thundershower possible... then partly cloudy overnight.
low: 16C (60F)

SATURDAY: partly to mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers and possibly a thundershower, mainly in the afternoon.
high: 21C (70F)

SUNDAY: a few peeks of morning sun, otherwise mostly cloudy and foggy with a good chance of some showers and thunderstorms.
high: 21C (69F)

MONDAY: mostly cloudy and foggy with some showers and storms likely.
high: 20C (68F)

TUESDAY: lots of clouds and fog around... with more showers and thunderstorms likely.
high: 20C (68F)
