sunday morning>

it looks like a beautiful morning shaping up... we have partly cloudy skies at the moment, with a temp of 17C/62F in upper mcleod ganj. there were some light rain showers (and a little thunder and lightning) overnight... leaving an additional 0.12" (3mm) of rain in my gauge. here are yesterday's rainfall totals:
-near main temple... 0.10" (2mm)
-upper mcleod ganj... 1.03" (2.6cm)
-naddi village... 1.18" (3.0cm)

the satellite pics show calm and quiet weather across most of northern india at the moment. we seem to be in a temporary respite from the scattered showers and thundershowers of late. as the sun works on the atmosphere this morning, we'll see those showers re-develop once again, however. as we saw yesterday and the day before, they can be very "hit and miss"... with some areas getting dumped on, while a short distance away there are only a few sprinkles. just be aware that the weather can change very very quickly in this pattern... from sunshine to heavy rain in a matter of minutes... and then back to sun again. no big changes right into the middle of next week. monsoon moisture will remain with us.

SUNDAY: a few periods of sun in between clouds and fog. scattered showers are likely, mainly during the afternoon and evening hours.
