clouds thicken... (pm.10.feb.11)>

skies are mostly cloudy this evening... after a day of mixed sun and clouds, and a high temp of 57.7F (14.3C).

our next storm system is still organizing along a line from central asia down to the persian gulf, and promises to bring us a prolonged period of unsettled weather as we head into the weekend and early next week.  already we're seeing the increase in cloud cover... and tomorrow the chance of light rain showers will enter the forecast.  rain chances will then increase every day through monday... along with the potential for strong and gusty winds and some thunder.  it still looks like our best chances of significant rainfall will be on sunday and monday... and that means heavy snow in the mountains above.  temperatures will remain fairly mild until late saturday or sunday, when the increasingly wet weather and lack of sunshine will make it feel more chilly.

if you have travel plans, be sure to keep track of developing weather conditions...
