clouds vs. sun: the sequel... (am.28.feb.11)>

we have a good amount of high clouds across the area early this morning, with a milder temp of 44.5F (6.9C).  some warmer air is trying to surge into northern india, but unfortunately, the increasing cloudiness is not going to allow us to take much advantage of it.

satellite photos show our next weather-maker... a broad area of upper-level low pressure forming between the perisan gulf and pakistan.  a fast jet stream is going to keep batches of mid- and high clouds streaming across our skies today, but with any luck, we'll be able to get a few periods of sun in between.  we may not be so fortunate later in the week, as this next series of disturbances will begin to cause clouds to thicken up and rain chances to increase... especially during the wednesday to friday period.

surprise, surprise... more heavy snow is on its way to the mountains during the coming first few days of march.  and for us, the new month will begin as the old one has ended... on the wet and chilly side...
