more clouds already... (am.22.feb.11)>

skies are overcast early this morning... with a mild temp of 49F (9.4C).  apparently we're allowed only one day of sunshine out of every ten!!  satellite photos this morning show lots of mid- and high cloudiness spreading into the area... out ahead of the next in a never-ending series of upper-level disturbances, which is now over northern afghanistan.

once again, there isn't a lot of deep moisture available for this system to tap into, so despite the clouds during the next few days, precipitation will be rather scattered and light.  the best chance of rainfall will occur from tomorrow afternoon through friday, but again... don't expect any all-day rains... just hit and miss showers for the most part.  heavier preciptation will occur further to our north in the mountains (again), where it will be in the form of another round of significant snow.

yesterday's healthy warm-up will be on hold... as temperatures fail to make much of a further gain.  our much cooler-than-normal february weather will continue...
