disturbed atmosphere... (pm.28.mar.11)>

it's mostly cloudy at sunset this evening... after a day where clouds were the dominant feature, and sunshine was more scarce than it has been since the very beginning of the month.  i recorded a high temp of just 69.6F (20.9C)... the coolest since a week ago today.

despite all the clouds, there was no rainfall today... at least that i have heard about.  our upper-level disturbance continues to spin over northern pakistan, but is drifting ever-so-slowly to the east.  this weak system will remain in the area for another 36 hours or so, and could yet kick off some showers and perhaps a thunderstorm.  humidity remains quite low (around 30-35%), which is an indication of how little available moisture there is to work with.

looking ahead a bit further, i don't see a dramatic and definitive turn to a totally sunny and quiet weather pattern.  the atmosphere will remain a bit unsettled and unstable right into the weekend.  that means we'll see a mixed bag of sun, clouds and the potential for some brief, passing showers.  temperatures will remain fairly close to normal...
