spring sunshine... (am.22.mar.11)>

a beautiful dawn... we have partly cloudy skies and 55F (12.8C) to start the day.  these thin, wispy cirrus clouds aren't showing up very well on the satellite pics this morning... but they are nothing of much consequence anyway.

it looks like nice and quiet weather will continue today, and for most of the remainder of the week.  we'll see lots of sunshine, with occasional clouds here and there... along with a slow warming trend.  with warming at the surface and little pools of colder air drifting through in the higher levels of the atmosphere, there is always a risk of an isolated afternoon shower in the mountains, but nothing to be concerned about.  no significant storm systems are on the horizon, although there are indications that an upper-level disturbance may move into the area over the weekend.  even then, rain chances should remain generally below 30-40%.
