both sun and clouds... (am.15.apr.11)>

a batch of high clouds is moving in from the west at dawn this morning, and that may dim our sunrise just a bit.  we have a temp of 59F (15C) to start the day.

it looks like we have another decent day on the way... with comfortable temperatures and a good amount of sunshine.  these high clouds are the first sign of our next storm system, though.  i think rain chances will be only slight today, but will gradually increase thereafter, with a 70-80% likelihood of showers and thunderstorms on sunday and monday.  there are still indications that we could receive some moderate to heavy rainfall (most likely from late sunday into monday)... so things might get interesting.  already, we're near the normal amount of rain for the entire month of april, so anything more during the last half of the month will confirm the fact that we are having an unusually wet spring!  keep in mind that april is normally the second driest month of the year (behind november).

this is the time of year when we should be having long stretches of t-shirt weather... but unfortunately, temperatures will tumble again with the arrival of clouds and showers over the weekend.

MONDAY: still a good chance of some rain and thunderstorms.  mostly cloudy and cool.
