definitely acceptable... (pm.13.apr.11)>

we have mostly cloudy skies just before sunset this evening, with a few sprinkles in the vicinity.  thunder has been rumbling on and off since about 2:10pm, thanks to the expected convective development over the mountains.  this is an indication that temperatures aloft are still cold in relation to surface temps... leading to an unstable airmass during the afternoon hours.  it was MUCH warmer today, with a high temp of 73.1F (22.8C) here at the very top of mcleod ganj.

the generally pleasant weather we had today is going to remain with us for about the next 48 hours.  a weak area of calm high pressure is trying to develop in the middle and upper levels of the atmosphere... which will provide us with lots of morning sunshine, warmer temperatures, and only a very slight chance of any significant rainfall.  i expect temps both tomorrow and friday to be pretty close to normal for mid-april, for a change.

by friday night, things will go downhill yet again.  the upper-air pattern remains extremely active for this time of year, with another unusually strong upper-level disturbance on the way for the weekend.  shower and thunderstorm chances will be better than 50/50 for both saturday and sunday... and temperatures will fall well below normal again by monday.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: any sprinkles ending this evening, then becoming mostly clear overnight.
low: 14C (57F)

THURSDAY: lots of morning sunshine... but partly cloudy during the afternoon with some mountain thunder possible.  nice and warm!
high: 24C (75F)

FRIDAY: increasing cloudiness... but still warm.
high: 24C (76F)

SATURDAY: partly to mostly cloudy skies, with a good chance of some thundershowers developing.
high: 23C (74F)

SUNDAY: clouds and a few peeks of sun.  a couple of rounds of showers and thunderstorms likely.
high: 21C (70F)

MONDAY: partly to mostly cloudy and quite cool.  still a good chance of a shower or thundershower.
high: 19C (67F)
