step by step... (am.20.sep.11)>

we have mostly clear skies just before sunrise this morning.  the low temp overnight has been 61.9F (16.6C), with no rainfall since our showers late yesterday afternoon.  we've only received 0.33" (8mm) of rain since sundown on friday!

monsoon conditions are only active now across southern and eastern india, but there won't be any official declarations of withdrawal here in the north and west until the IMD is convinced that surface and upper-level weather features continue to move into alignment... without a "relapse" so to speak.  as we've seen, there is still a decent amount of low-level moisture available to lead to the development of some rather thick clouds and patches of fog during the mid-day and afternoon hours.  there have also been random, isolated showers in the afternoons in a few spots along the himalayas... but we're now going on four days without widespread moderate to heavy rainfall in northwest india... so the signs are good.  expect gradual improvement to continue  into the coming weekend.

we haven't talked at all about temperatures recently... but you've probably noticed that it has cooled down just slightly in the evenings and overnight hours.  as our humidity gradually drops, so will the night-time temps. during the daytime, as we get a greater percentage of sun, it will remain pleasantly warm.

TUESDAY: partly sunny skies.  clouds and periods of fog most likely around mid-day into the afternoon.  there is still a chance of an isolated shower or two in the area during the PM.
high: 23C (74F)

TUESDAY NIGHT: a brief shower possible in the evening, then becoming mostly clear overnight.
low: 16C (61F)

WEDNESDAY: generally sunny in the morning, with some clouds and a bit of fog by early afternoon.  slight chance of a PM shower.

THURSDAY: partly to mostly sunny skies.
high: 24C (75F)

FRIDAY: mostly sunny and pleasant.

SATURDAY: a good amount of sun... nice temps.
