thick clouds... (am.5.sep.11)>

yesterday's high temp: 74.5F (23.6C)
this morning's low temp: 66.7F (19.3C)
24 hour rainfall as of 6:30am: 0.38" (0.96cm)

skies are cloudy at sunrise this morning, but for the moment at least, there isn't any fog around.

rainfall yesterday was not very heavy, but did dominate most of the morning hours.  although the mela is in full swing, monsoon rains are still in the forecast, and it looks like they could become heavier once again as the week progresses.  there is typical low pressure in the lower parts of the atmosphere over gujarat and rajasthan, and the counter-clockwise circulation will usher several big blobs of tropical moisture into our area... with the most significant of those expected during the latter half of the week.

the daily rainfall rates of 1-1.5" have eased off during the past several days, but another spike is a good bet.  in addition, computer models are pushing humidity levels back to the 95-100% range by thursday.
