generally gorgeous... (am.15.oct.11)>

our sunrise sky is 100% clear this morning, with a humidity reading of 63% to start the day.  the overnight low has been 59.0F (15.0C), with no precipitation recorded.

it might be hard to believe, considering all the afternoon and evening fog we were dealing with during the first week of the month... but we've barely had measurable rainfall during october.  it is interesting how fast things can turn around... from averaging almost an inch of rain a day back in the first half of september, to being basically bone dry during the first half of october.!

the upper-level disturbance drifting through recently has failed to stir up as much as even a random mountain shower thus far... evidence of how dry the air has become now, in most layers of the atmosphere.  of course there is always the risk of an isolated thundershower over the mountains during the afternoon hours... but apart from that, we should continue to enjoy a large percentage of sunshine on a daily basis.

temperatures have cooled ever-so-slightly in the past couple of days, but it is still a couple of degrees (C) warmer than it normally is at this time of the year.  i haven't even unpacked my jackets yet!?!
