quite acceptable... (am.11.mar.12)>

There is a complete absence of clouds as the sun inches its way above the mountains early on this Sunday morning.  I'm recording an overnight low temp of 47.3F (8.5C)... which is slightly milder than the last five mornings in a row.

The sun had a rough time winning the battle against patches of clouds yesterday morning, but it looks like it will do better today... at least during the morning hours.  Major readjustments are occurring throughout all levels of the atmosphere, allowing milder air to replace the unseasonably cool air mass which has been in place since the middle of last week.  Here in the mountains, the competing characteristics of differing air masses can lead to the sudden appearance of clouds and even random showers, but all in all, it looks like a nice day ahead.

We're watching the next upper-level storm system, which should be the main weather-maker for us on Monday and Tuesday.  The potential for a couple of rounds of showers and thunderstorms will be on the increase, although we'll also see some sunshine in the midst of it all.  Temperatures will be generally on the rise all the way through the coming week, which will put us back closer to normal for this time of year.
