quick-dry laundry... (pm.14.jun.12)>

Sunshine is in charge this evening, although we do have some light haze in the area as well.  For the third day in a row, we've had very warm temperatures here in McLeod -- I recorded a high temp of 89.2F (31.8C).  Just below us between Dharamsala and Kangra, temps have been near or just above 100F today.  Thankfully, the humidity levels remain very low.

A general area of high pressure in the mid- and upper atmosphere sprawls across most of north India, providing stable weather conditions for most of us.  The exception has been one or two isolated thundershowers which have developed along some of the higher Himalayan ranges, but they've been few and far between, and affecting mainly shepherds and remote, high mountain villages.  It looks like sunshine will continue to hold sway for at least the next couple of days keeping our rain chances at a minimum.  Temperatures should stay where they are... or perhaps rise another couple of degrees over the coming weekend.

Looking further ahead, tropical moisture is now rapidly increasing across the southern two-thirds of India, and there's a chance we may see humidity here along the front range of the mountains begin to increase early next week.  It's always very interesting to watch and observe the arrival of pre-monsoon moisture, and that's what we may get to do in just several days from now...
