a little action... (pm.15.oct.12)>

Monday's Stats:

Low temp: 59.2F (15.1C)
High temp: 68.4F (20.2C)
Rainfall: none

It has been an interesting and changeable day.  We started off mostly sunny and pleasantly mild, but just after noon, there was a rapid increase in clouds, and it looked downright ominous between about 1:00 and 2:00pm, with thick clouds and gusty winds across the area.  Then some peeks of sunshine returned in the midst of clouds over the remainder of the afternoon/evening... and as far as I know, there has been no rain (yet) in the immediate McLeod area.

We've been anticipating this upper-level disturbance, and it has arrived more or less on schedule -- centered just west of the Pakistan/Kashmir border as of this evening (Mon).  It will be tracking east-southeast during the coming 24-36 hours, and will provide us with more clouds and a better chance of some shower/thundershower action between now and late Tuesday.  The air aloft is quite cold, so if we do get some rainfall, temperatures will be cooler than we've gotten used to during the past couple of weeks.

As this system moves out on Wednesday, the sun should regain dominance, while dry and slightly cooler air envelope most of northern India for the latter part of the week.
