warming trend continues... (am.03.may.15)>

This Sunday morning features 100% clear skies, along with seasonably mild temperatures just before sunrise.  I'm recording an overnight low of 59.7F (15.4C), and there has been no rainfall since last report.

We've got a stretch of genuine summertime weather on the way this week, as a large ridge of high pressure builds in from the southwest across northern India.  Already our temperatures have been very near normal/average for early May the last couple of days, but there's a very good chance that we'll be rising well above normal in the next two or three days -- making it feel more like late May or early June.

Much warmer air will also be arriving in the upper-levels of the atmosphere, and that should provide us with a generally stable air mass to go along with the very warm temperatures.  However, we can't get complacent when it comes to rogue thundershower potential over the mountains during the afternoon hours, which could drift into McLeod proper on just about any given day.  Apart from that almost ever-present risk, we should be dealing with plenty of sunshine through most of the coming week.
